Why sing with baby?

Dorset Holiday Cottage

Why sing with your baby and toddler?
It soothes fretful babies and tames the wild child!

Singing with your little one is a  relaxed, multi sensory learning experience for your child and it can be done anywhere, any time at no cost!

After a Mumbaba sing-along session all the parents and children feel happy and relaxed and ready to chat and be friendly.  Why is this? Research from the University of California tells us that a good singing session makes us feel good by  boosting endorphines. This has also been found to  enhance our immune system.

At Mumbaba music our singing works like magic! We enchant all the children, from new babies to toddlers, by singing  traditional nursery rhymes in the special Mumbaba format. The children are so entranced that they forget to cry. (It has to be seen to be believed!). Parents  start to see the magic effect that singing can have on their little ones.

Singing Mumbaba nursery rhymes with your young baby helps their development and their self confidence. It helps them learn patterns of speech and the regular beat of the rhymes helps develop a sense of numbers and patterns which forms the basis of understanding maths.

Seeing their parents join in with Mumbaba nursery rhymes shows the babies and toddlers how to join in and have fun in a group activity. This shows them how to join in when they go to playgroup or nursery.

When parents join in with the Mumbaba music format  they are teaching their babies and toddlers how to sit still, listen and follow instructions.

We all have such fun singing  the  Mumbaba nursery rhymes that the babies and toddlers soon learn  them off by heart. By learning these easy rhymes with their parents at  Mumbaba  little children become happy  to learn. This gives them a positive learning experience which makes them confident to become successful learners. This means that they will be more confident to learn harder things at pre-school and school.
